In the execution of the 2014 Project of Environmental Pre-warning and Management in Yunlin County, we checked on the validity and rationality of the permits of sewer system for companies and industrial parks; made the wastewater treatment facilities work completely by improving the pollution of waste effluent right at the sources; also, through audit on the sewers in industrial parks and the control under the “Regulations on management of water pollution control measures and inspection and declaration (management on waste collection in industrial parks)”, we thoroughly controlled the potential pollutions by the polluting sources in the industrial parks, preventing illegal emissions to reduce the pollution by business wastewater to the rivers. During the execution of the Project, we performed checks on legal compliance and effluent sampling in the three industrial parks on monthly basis (all 36 operations); checks on legal compliance and effluent sampling at 21 controlled companies in No.6 Naptha Cracker Industrial Park (all 86 cases and 20 samplings), and 10 rainwater samplings at Gages A-E, and check on 32 cases and 27 samplings at controlled companies outside the park. We completed function evaluation of wastewater treatment facility at four institutions or sewer systems; held three meetings for presenting regulations. Since Oct. 17, 2014, we have conducted monthly maintenance of stationary water quality continuous monitoring instruments in No.6 Naptha Cracker Industrial Park; completed 415 cases of permit review, and assisted in 27 cases of emergency responsive sampling and 57 cases of handling of water pollution instructed by the government.
